The second grand chamber, Giovanna, is named after Tsarina Giovanna of Italy, wife of Tsar Boris III. A separate drawing room welcomes you with a long antique couch, chair, and coffee table. On top of the vaulted ceiling, a large skylight brings in natural light, feeling like you are in a stately room. The natural light in the drawing-room in Giovanna is perfect for taking afternoon tea or hosting private meetings while you are in Veliko Tarnovo. Giovanna's drawing-room also features a fireplace for cosy nights to snuggle up. Enjoy a glass of wine, sit back by the fire and bask in the space as Tsarina Giovanna may have in her bedroom. Down the hall from the drawing-room is a small dressing nook, with an antique wardrobe where you can hang your clothes and "move in" to your home away from home. To the right of the wardrobe is the large bathroom. Giovanna's bathroom, like Grand Chamber Margarita's, also has a deep 1.80-meter (6 feet) long bathtub. The bathroom is also wheelchair accessible for our guests with special needs. A bit further down the hall, through a separate door for privacy from the drawing-room, is the king-sized bedroom. This chamber is west facing, so the fading light of the day pours onto the large, elegant bed, producing wonderful light and shadows, which offer unique Instagrammable moments for pictures to share with friends.
